VOLUNTEERSAt High Desert Hospice we know that there are certain times in our lives when we could use the helping hands of a compassionate friend. Our trained volunteers lend their hands and heart to assist terminally ill patients and their families. Who are Hospice Volunteers? Hospice volunteers are compassionate individuals committed to the hospice philosophy of care and service. They have a respect for life and they embrace the opportunity to serve the needs of the terminally ill and their families. Hospice volunteers are valued members of our team and may work directly with patients and their families or work as support staff in the office or on special projects. Talk with our Volunteer Coordinator about matching your interests with our needs.
Volunteer Training and Education. High Desert Hospice, in continuing our commitment to a standard of excellence, requires volunteers to complete a comprehensive, self-paced volunteer training program. Additionally, High Desert Hospice provides on-going educational opportunities for its volunteers.
